 We used Amy both for a major addition before she had her own firm and then again when we did a major renovation of the basement in our home. The common connection was Riverstone, our contractor. The house was built in 1940 so Amy had to deal with both the old, low-ceilinged part of the house and the new basement that we dug out but didn't finish when we did the addition. We really liked her creativity and flexibility and were thrilled with the final result: three main rooms plus a full bath and storage in the basement plus a new bathroom on the first floor and a hidden library on the second floor. She really listened well to what we wanted. Couldn't be happier and we'd happily recommend her. 

ADDITION​

 Amy Lauerhass designed a home addition and complete interior renovation to include kitchen, bath, master closet, and laundry room. Amy more than exceeded our expectations. She was easy to work with and very accommodating! We would highly recommend her to others.

 This is the second project that we have completed with Amy. She is fantastic to work with. The first project was a large addition, the second was a mudroom/laundry room. She listens to what you want, how you plan on using the space, your budget, and considers the existing structure. You can not tell where the original house ended and the new additions begin. Very innovative and believes in a quality outcome. She is great! Would not hesitate to hire her again and have referred her to friends. 

ADDITION​

 My family purchased a 100 year old house in Bexley in 2015. The front half of the house had graciously sized rooms, with lovely leaded glass windows - all quite lovely. Then we walk to the back of the house and found a kitchen the size of a closet, a family room that was an enclosed patio with bare brick walls and wouldn't fit a couch and a master bedroom with no closets, to speak of. Amy listened to our goals of balancing the rooms in the back with the front, bringing in much more natural light, and maintaining the architectural integrity of the house. She designed an addition that so complimented the original architecture my neighbors have remarked that it "doesn't even look like you did an addition". Amy also paid attention to our financial constraints so that, when building started, we could stay within our budget. She was always available to us and to our contractor as the project moved forward. Wonderful service. With Amy's significant talents, the house has gone from an ugly duckling to a lovely swan. 

MAJOR INTERIOR RENOVATION

 Amy was incredibly competent, professional, and responsive to our design needs at every stage of our renovation. We are thrilled with the results of her work, and we think o her as we enjoy the beautiful final product every day! We have hired her for two separate projects and she will continue to be our first call for all or our architecture needs in the future. Highly recommend! 

ADDITION & RENOVATION

 Working with Amy on a small room addition, kitchen plan, and home remodel job could not have been a more positive experience. She worked with us as a partner in figuring out cost-saving ideas, in dealing with code officials, and in communicating our needs to our contractors.  My first-hand experience with Lauerhass Architecture far surpassed my expectations.  We have worked with Amy on two major home renovation projects. In our first project, we re-configured our existing first floor to create a more functional and open space. We also added a mudroom and bathroom. A few years later we added an attached garage with a second floor bonus room and remodeled our master bedroom and bathroom. Amy is wonderful to work with in the concept and design phase - She listens and makes great suggestions. She also worked well with our contractor during the construction phase and was always available to answer questions or talk over issues.

TWO STORY ADDITION

 I thoroughly enjoyed working with Amy. She had great ideas for the remodeling of our 1920's home. We put a large addition on the back of the house located in a very old traditional neighborhood. Her design gave us much desired space while keeping with the aesthetics of the community.
